What is Nolo?

Nolo is an iPhone app that counts your alcohol-free days. It works out the money you save from your usual weekly spend, and explains what your body recovers at each milestone : 24 hours, 3 days, one week, one month, one year. It also offers challenges (Dry January, Sober October) and a daily mood journal. The counter and the money saved are free with no time limit; an optional subscription at €9.99/month unlocks the full health timeline, unlimited mood history and every challenge. Nolo works in French and English. It is a support tool, not medical treatment.

The problem isn’t willpower

You already know you drink too much at the weekend. What’s missing isn’t Monday-morning motivation : it’s seeing that it adds up to something. A chain of days going up. An amount getting bigger. A body repairing specific things, at specific moments.

What Nolo does

The counter

Your alcohol-free days, large. And if you slip, the streak restarts : but your record stays. Nolo never lectures you.

The money saved

You say what you spend per week, Nolo works out the rest. The number climbs on its own, every day.

What your body repairs

24h, 3 days, 1 week, 1 month, 1 year: what actually changes, put honestly : including the fact that the first nights are hard.

Challenges and journal

Dry January, Sober October, 30 days. And one mood a day, to read back later on what you were going through.

What Nolo is not

Nolo is not treatment, nor a substitute for a doctor or an addiction professional. If you have been drinking every day for a long time, stopping abruptly can be dangerous: the app tells you this at setup and recommends talking to a doctor. Helpline numbers are available free inside the app, with no subscription.

Frequently asked questions

Is Nolo free?

Yes. The alcohol-free day counter, the money saved, the last 7 days of journal and the helpline numbers are free with no time limit. An optional subscription at €9.99/month or €59.99/year, with a 7-day free trial, unlocks the full health timeline, unlimited history and every challenge.

What happens if I drink during my streak?

Your day streak restarts at zero, but your best record is kept and displayed. Nolo uses no failure language: logging a drink is presented as useful information, not a fault. That is what makes the counter trustworthy.

How does Nolo calculate the money saved?

At setup, you enter what you usually spend on alcohol per week. Nolo divides that by seven and multiplies it by your number of alcohol-free days. The result is explicitly labelled as an estimate.

Does Nolo replace a doctor?

No. Nolo is a tracking and support tool, not treatment. Stopping alcohol abruptly can be medically dangerous for someone who drinks daily: the app asks about this at setup and recommends speaking to a doctor before stopping. Helpline details are permanently available, free of charge.

Can I use Nolo if I want to cut down rather than stop?

Yes. At setup you choose between stopping completely and cutting down. In cut-down mode you set a weekly drink limit, and Nolo counts consecutive weeks spent under that limit rather than days.

Is my data private?

Yes. Your days, mood and notes are stored on a database hosted in France and visible only to you. Nolo sells no data, runs no advertising and uses no advertising trackers. You can delete your account and all your data from inside the app, in two taps.

Is Nolo available on Android?

No, not for now. Nolo is an iPhone app.
